Dior’s Lady Dior Kaleidoscopic For Spring/Summer 19

Head on over to any store, and you’d most probably notice something that is tie dyed. Yep, tie dyeing is trending right now, and it’s all thanks to Maria Grazia Chiuri, who featured this dye-knotting effect, as part of Dior‘s Spring/Summer 19 collection. But, instead of a simple tie dye, Chiuri came up with something that was truly kaleidoscopic in shape and form, with a multiplicitous floral bouquet effect, inspired by avant-garde optical experiments and the interplay of light projected onto dresses worn by contemporary dance pioneer, Loie Fuller. As a result, we saw not only on the runway looks of Dior’s dance-themed collection, but also on the bags, particularly the Lady Dior.

For this iconic bag, Chiuri chose to do showcase this dyeing technique, on denim, giving it a more casual, yet effortless, vibe. Available in just one size, the Lady Dior Kaleidoscopic comes with aged gold-toned hardware that contrasts perfectly against the dark denim.

Personally, I’m loving this carefree energy that we get with this version of the Lady Dior because its a testament to the chameleonic effect of the iconic tote which can be both ladylike, but also more casual, at the same time.
