Limited Edition Hermes Kelly For Spring/Summer 2011
To finish off his tenure at Hermes with a bang, Jean Paul Gaultier has done quite a number of unique pieces for Spring/Summer 2011. Who could ever forget the moment when one of the models sashayed down the runway with what appeared to be a Kelly made of translucent croc?! I mean, translucent croc? That seemed mythical, and it certainly got the fashion glitterati buzzing!!
Although that wouldn’t be availilable in Malaysia, Hermes will be bringing in a Limited Edition piece for S/S 2011. The birth of the “Picnic Kelly” (shown above) is the result of the marriage of wicker and Barenia calfskin, 2 contrasting materials and hence textures, which, interestingly enough, hasn’t been attempted by Hermes…until now, that is!
The “Country-esque” Kelly will be available come Spring 2011 at Hermes Pavilion & KLCC. Retail price is available upon request.
