Dior Introduces Black Ultra-Matte Bags

In an era of Logomania, bags with “invisible” hardware and logos are few and far between. This season, Dior joins the invisible hardware gang with the introduction of the new Ultra-Matte Black Range of bags which include the Maison’s most emblematic bags like the Lady Dior which made its debut in 1995; the Diorama, introduced in Spring/Summer 2015, now considered as one of the brand’s “new classics”; and of course the cult Saddle Bag, created in 1999, which has been resuscitated from the archives and also now crossed over into the Men’s collections.

If you want understated elegance, this is certainly the way to go, because having everything in black, including the chain straps, D-I-O-R charms, and hardware certainly changes the entire perception and character of the bags, don’t you think?

Oh, and judging from the Hermès Phantom bags, and Chanel’s all-black bags, they’re insanely difficult to get your hands on due to the limited quantities in which they’re produced. Not to mention, the sense of quiet luxury that they ooze, with the tonal logos and hardware. But let me tell you this: if you do manage to score any of these Dior Black Ultra-Matte bags, regardless of whether it’s the Saddle, Lady Dior, or Diorama, they’re certainly going to become collector’s items in the future due to the sheer uniqueness and character of these pieces.
