Chanel’s Métiers D’Art Quilted Gift Box With 4 Mini Iconic Bags
For this year’s Métiers D’Art 2020 collection, Artistic Director of Chanel, Virginie Viard pays tribute to Gabrielle Chanel’s signature House codes. Yep, this means everything from the Camellia to the chains, were a part of the collection, entitled “Paris – 31 Rue Cambon”. And because of this, the pièce de résistance from this collection would definitely be this Limited Edition beauty right here: a lustworthy quilted lambskin box, complete with a functioning key, to keep the Maison’s 4 iconic bags within, safe from harm’s way.
Inspired by a jewellery box, complete with an in-built mirror, this quilted lambskin box is divided into 4 compartments, which houses one miniature bag each: the Gabrielle, 2.55, Boy Chanel, and Flap Bag. And if you’re thinking they’re teensy and just for collection purposes, well, not quite. Sure, they may be tiny and smaller than a WOC (wallet on chain) and with that comes a shortened chain strap, but I assure you, you can take them with you on your adventures.
This quilted box set of bags comes in black, or in another set of red and pink bags. Though I’m a massive fan of pink and not usually a fan of black, but in this case, I’d actually advise you to get the black instead, because it’s not just timeless, but great heirloom pieces that you can definitely pass down to the next generation, and future generations to come. Oh and the price? Well, this would set you back around USD17,000+ via select Chanel boutiques globally.
