Presenting: Luella S/S 2010

The Verdict: Vermillion, Tan, Pink.

Polka Dots, and Florals.

Patent, Leather and Tulle.

Oversized Clutches, Structured Totes, and Supple Hobos.

Quirky, Feminine and Flirtatious.

Brit designer Luella Bartley owes her claim to fame to her boxy structured”Giselle” tote from approximately 5 years ago. But Come this Spring/Summer 2010, it’s boxy no more. Instead, get ready to be blown away by spring fever. Ball-like flowers seem to be blooming as bag charms and embellishments in Luella Bartley’s garden. Luella’s S/S 2010 collection seems to offer something for every age and occasion. Structured Totes in Patent Leather for work (and for a perhaps slightly more mature look), Hobos for shopping and a casual afternoon lunch date with the girls, and the quirky clutches in tulle (see last pic) and polka dots to jazz up your LBD. My personal faves are the polka dotted clutch with a striking vermillion bow, and the oversized tulle clutch, which imho, looks like the bottom of Drew Barrymore’s Emmy dress by Monique Lhuillier.
