Meet the “Cloud” bag, also known as Miu Miu’s latest It bag from the Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Its slouchy elongated hobo-esque shape measuring 48cm in length with a double-zippered fold over top and multiple interior compartments makes it the perfect day bag. In fact, I call this sort of bag a “magic” bag because no matter how much stuff you load it up with, there’s still room for more.

Although only available in one size, the Cloud bag comes in numerous variations: Madras two-tone leathers, solid colours, the Nappa Biker version, and of course, the iconic matelassé.

While I’m a fan of all things studded and grommeted, I somehow don’t quite fancy the Biker versions. Instead I’m really loving the Matelasse version in black, and yes coming from someone who probably owns only ONE black bag in my closet, that says a lot, doesn’t it?
