Aigner’s Fall/Winter 2011 Press Preview Day

From the highlands of Peru, to the depths of the rainforests in the continent; the Gaucho cowboys to famous bisexual Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, South America served as the design inspiration behind Aigner’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection. Stylicious Fashionista got to preview this collection during Aigner’s press preview last Tuesday, July 12 at the Pavilion store.

Female model posing with the “Selva”

The “Selva” – RM 3,800 – 8,300

Another bag from the “Selva” range. This wasn’t on display during the press preview. But I prefer this to the bowler-shaped Selva above.

The “All In” Collection (sorry for the blurry pic!) Price ranges from RM1,900 – 2,700

My favourite from the “All In” Collection with the Aigner logo in horsebit style.

Model posing with the “Cerniera” – a framed doctor’s bag in a combination of leopard-printed ponyhair and calf leather with exposed topstitching

The “Cerniera” is available in 2 sizes as shown above. If you’re not a fan of ponyhair, it is also available in lambskin. Prices from RM 5,500 – 8,300

The “Sierra”. The Gaucho-essque saddle inspiration can be felt from the leather piping details on the bag. Prices from the “Sierra” collection ranges from RM 3,000 – 4,700.

And finally, Aigner’s IT bag of the season, the “Ethnographica”, which is inspired by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. Made of exotic Alpaca hair (which is the hair that comes from the llama), it is super silky and soft. This bag retails for RM11,000.

And here we have the same “Ethnographica” bag dyed in Red

All members of the media who attended the press preview went home with this heart-shaped coin purse from Aigner!

Thanks to the Melium Group for the invitation =)
