Today, I introduce you to another new variation of the Diorama, the Diorama Satchel. Though it doesn’t look like the traditional satchel (you know, the messenger-styled book bag with dual buckle fastenings),  the structured shape, and accordion side profile is rather satchel-like, along with the thick grosgrain shoulder straps which provides better weight distribution so that it isn’t too heavy when carried on the shoulder. I just love how the gold jewel chain detail is paired with the more casual grosgrain bits on the strap because it doesn’t usually work, but in this case, it does!

I personally love the macro cannage versions in deerskin above, but if you’re not a fan, then the Dior monogram style is also available. I must say that I was really quite surprised to see this monogram because we haven’t seen them for a long time. The last time I remember seeing them everywhere in Dior stores was during the denim Saddle bag days and also the ones in powder  pink and baby blue in coated jacquard canvas with the racing stripes and numbers on them! That said, this motif is now back on the Diorama Satchel!

I have to say though, that the Diorama Club is more me, compared to this Satchel. despite its chicness. This office-appropriate day-to-night bag is available in one size only, it measures 27.5 x 20 x 9 cm, has two open compartments separated by a zippered compartment, and various slip pockets on the inside. No word yet on when this will be dropping in stores in Malaysia, but I’ll keep you posted! 😉
