NYFW: Marc by Marc Jacobs F/W11

The Verdict: For the Fall/Winter 2011 collection, we see new additions to the totally turnlock line (a Boston bag) and simple leather shoulder bags for Marc by Marc Jacobs’s utility range. Adopting a beige, brown and red colour palette for this season, we can’t help but feel that vintage vibe being infused into the collection. New for this season are also chevron-patterned bags (as well as RTW) and Impala prints (ie. that’s the Gazelle/antelope looking animal). Perhaps the Impala prints are a spillover from the Safari SS collection that MJ did for Vuitton. In short, the collection is simple, vintage-esque and classic. Judging by the looks of this collection, the Marc by Marc Jacobs line has certainly blossomed into a more grown up (don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that it’s mature), understated version. After all, Marc by MJ is already 10 years old. ;D
