Coach Holiday 2012 Collection
I’m already feeling the spirit of the Holiday season thanks to the influx of Christmas press kits that I’ve received has made it even harder for me because everything is filled to the brim with gift ideas!
Since Coach’s Fall 2012 Legacy collection remains one my most popular blog posts to date, I thought that I should kick off the Holiday 2012 series on the blog with the brand’s Holiday collection. Now, if you’re a regular follower of this blog, you’d know that I was never a really massive fan until the Legacy collection was launched because I’d seriously wear every single bag, and feel that the Legacy has really turned the brand’s image around in a very positive manner. In fact, many of my other fashion forward friends have said the same.
As you probably already know, the Coach’s Legacy Collection is inspired by the brand’s archival pieces including Heritage hardware, turnlocks, dogleash clip details, and silhouettes. But the thread that really ties everything together as a collection, whether oversized or not, is most definitely the tassel detail, which is what really makes the bag in my opinion.
I was really pleasantly surprised when I saw the collection because Coach gave us none of the usual Christmassy colours like reds, whites, greens, a dash of sparkle, and a tartan (or plaid, as the Americans call it). Instead, made up of eye-popping candy colours, the Legacy Holiday 2012 collection has injected something fresh to a very classic type of festive season. Okay, so tartan also makes an appearance here, but in fuchsia, black and cream, it’s most definitely not of the regular (and predictable!) characteristic red, black, and green sort.
Here are some of my favourites:

Legacy Penny Shoulder Purses |
I’ve loved the Penny Shoulder purses since they first debuted for Fall this year, and for the Holiday season, it comes in more bright hues, including a tri-coloured version like the clutch below. These Penny babies are especially handy for the Holidays because it transitions really well from day to night -you can use it for day (with the crossbody strap) and then just remove the strap and use it as a clutch during the evening!

Legacy Leather Duffel |
The Duffel is available in new colours like Tourmaline (shown above). But what would be even better, is to change it up by purchasing the Duffel kit for just RM 375 (i.e. the strap and tassels in a contrasting colour) to colour-block with! Personally, I’d pick the fuchsia duffle kit to pair with this bag.

Legacy Colourblock Leather Large Clutch in Fuchsia |
This Large clutch in fuchsia multicolour is great for running errands with, or even to take out for a quick lunch, especially for us working ladies out there who don’t want to bring our bags out with us while grabbing a bite. I find this a better alternative because compared to a wristlet which isn’t very roomy, this is big enough even for your phone, your money, your tissues and even some cosmetics! The handy wrist strap makes it even more handy!
That said, the revival of the Legacy collection from the archives (with a little something new of course!) is probably the best thing that ever happened to Coach. My wishlist just got a little longer as a result!
If you are a Coach Legacy fan like myself, stay tuned because I have collaborated with Coach on a giveaway will kick off this Thursday, November 1st! Keep your eyes peeled to find out how you can win something from this fab collection!
