Valentino Small V-Ring Bag As Seen on Meghan Markle
I’m a huge fan of Valentino‘s revival of the vintage logo. It’s a great move really, because I think everyone was beginning to get tired of the Rockstuds. The new logo, though a revival of the old logo, is certainly a breath of fresh air. And, in an era of Logomania, it’s great that Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli didn’t jump onto the bandwagon, but instead chose to use this logo, which itself, already makes a very bold statement. I’m not usually a fan of “look-at-me” logos, but I loved this so much I actually bought the Logo Slides, and am now contemplating purchasing this small V-Ring Bag in this nude-maroon-cream combo with the red leather ribbon that comes with a detachable shoulder strap.
This bag has been on my wishlist ever since its launch, and yes, even before I saw the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, with it. You see, I very recently only saw pics of Meghan with this V-Ring Bag in a slightly different colourway (white-nude-burgundy) while mummy dearest was watching some style videos of her on YouTube, and I happened to walk past – unlike mummy dearest, I’m not a Royal Stalker er oops, I mean, Watcher, 😛
If you’re asking me why I love this bag so much, it’s not really the design. I mean, yes, its design is rather pretty and elegant, but I’d have to say it’s because of this particular colour combo… yep, I’m a true colour-blocking fan, through and through. Because, if you’d shown me the tone-on-tone versions and ask me if I like it, well, I’d say, “meh”. Oh, the plus point though, is that it comes in an accordion-style silhouette, which means, as small as it may be and yes, it’s small enough for the Duchess to use as an evening clutch, you can certainly stash a whole lot more in it.
