#PFW: Céline Spring/Summer 2014 Bags!

this triangular bag is carried half open on purpose..

The Verdict: Okay, so I didn’t love Celine’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection because the red, white and blue checks looked really China-bag-like to me. And guess what? I really am not loving this season’s bags either. The accessories like the bangles and neckpieces that came down the runway had that tribal African-inspired feel, and this was also translated into geometric cutout details for the bags (and shoes) – whether it be the handles or just details on the bags themselves. And my, oh my, there was a LOT of fringe – they dangled off the plain bags as well as the leather woven netted bags which were held crushed in the palm (inspiration from the Burberry Crush maybe and how they were “crushed” when they came down the runway?)

I really am a HUGE Phoebe Philo fan but, the past couple of seasons (ever since the Big Bird shoes), have been really strange for me… I wan’t Phoebe’s old but fab aesthetic (ala the Chloé Paddington and Luggage tote) back!
