Paris Fashion Week: Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2011 Bags
The Verdict: It was clutches galore on the Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2011 runway! All we saw on the catwalk were clutches, and more clutches; and none of the Balenciaga staples. 2 very distinct threads that made up Balenciaga’s F/W 2011 bags: the elaborate hand-painted clutches with Baroque- /Rococo architectural-styled details and textures, and the braided leather bags. Besides, don’t the bulbous bags with the giant braids look like a) someone’s knitted sweater, and b) A LOT like Prada’s F/W 2010 bags?
I’m sure that by now ya’ll know that I’m a total Balenciaga fangirl, and that Nicolas Ghesquiere is my FAVOURITE fashion designer. Because of that, it breaks my heart to say that I’m not at all a fan of this collection… not even a teensy weensy bit.
