
Burberry’s Hot Air Balloon Installation & Pop-Up Store at Heathrow
As a tribute to the achievements of Air Commodore Edward Maitland, Auguste Gudron and Charles Turner’s 1,117-mile travel via hot air balloon from London’s Crystal Palace to Russia in 1908, during which, Maitland wore Buberry’s gabardine for protection against the weather.
This hot air balloon is installed at Heathrow’s Terminal 2 Departure Lounge, along with a pop-up store showcasing the latest DK88 bags. Here, travellers can also create and print their very own personalised Burberry postcards via iPads, or drop physical hard copies into the Burberry post boxes.
