Burberry’s Doodle Collection Totes

Burberry‘s Doodle Tote first made its debut on the September 2017 collection runway – remember those oversized tartan totes that were reversible? Yup, that was actually called the “Doodle” tote. But, if you’re not a fan of tartan, Burberry has just recently launched an entire collection in coated-canvas with leather trims using fine-line biros and felt-tip marker pens. Designed by Burberry’s design studio in London, these reversible Doodle totes are are nspired by all aspects surrounding the theme of  “Britishness”, and yes, that includes the unpredictable weather.

The Brit is a deconstructed Union Jack flag with musical notes and graffiti-like scribbles on a white tote; Weather, with its cloud and rainbow motif is all about the unpredictable British weather; Daydream features smooth and unbroken lines as embellishments to the Burberry logo; Unexpected sees shape and zigzags, spots, stars, and  stripes; Word sees all different type of font-styles and scrawls with “Burberry” written all over the bag. The totes, available in both medium and large sizes, along with other accessories silk-cotton scarves, sneakers, and SLGs (key fobs, card cases, iPhone cases, reversible leather bracelets and belts, wallets, and zip-top pouches) are now available online and in stores.

British artist Danny Sangra has also designed his very own doodles for the Burberry Doodle tote as part of an ongoing collaboration with Burberry. His collection of coated-canvas totes will only be available during events that will take place in select Burberry stores globally rhoughtout November and December. And if you want something super-exclusive, Sangra will be there on site during the events and adding his illustrations to blank Doodle totes in NYC, Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul and London during these events.

Well, ya’ll know I’m a fan of illustrations and doodles, so this is something that is right up my alley. My favourite, though, is the speech bubble version by Sangra. The Doodle collection will also be expanding come January 2018, when tees, bomber jackets, trenches, and sweatshirts for both men and women will be made available.
