First introduced in the Spring/Summer 2000 “Sincere Chic” collection, Prada‘s Bowling Bag makes a comeback as part of the Resort 2020 Collection.

Part of its 20 year tribute to the bag whose silhouette enjoyed cult-like status in its heyday, the Resort 2020 edition of the Bowling Bag, showcases a juxtaposition of similar materials in contrasting colours, thus creating a graphic effect as a testament to its Modernist design aesthetic. Made of fine soft calf leather, the newly reinterpreted Bowling Bag is available in 4 colour combos: white with black, cinnamon with white, white with red, and black with white. Right after the Resort 2020 runway show at the Piano Factory in New York City, the bag was made available for pre-0rder from 3rd to 6th May, exclusive to the US and Europe on the Official website.

What I love about bowling bags or rather “bowler” silhouettes in general, is their roomy structure because no matter how small they are, there’s always more than meets the eye. You’d definitely get to chuck a whole lot in there (and then some) and still find that you’d have extra space within. Also, the double zipper on top makes it a whole lot easier to retrieve your stuff from within, given the dome-shaped top making it practical and stylish at the same time.
