Myriam Schaefer might not be a name that is familiar to many, but she was in fact the designer behind Balenciaga’s iconic Lariat bags that were created together with Nicolas Ghesquiere! She started her own label last year, and has been written about in most major fashion magazines. In fact, American Vogue was the first to feature her last year!

Currently, she only has a modest handbags collection out comprising a total of 3 silhouettes. My favourite out of all the 3, is this Joyce bag, made of grained Saffiano leather (yes, “Saffiano” is not specific to Prada. All grained leathers of this sort are Saffiano). The contrast coloured handles with arrow head-esque ends accents the bag perfectly. Classy enough to dress up an outfit or to be worn to work, yet it can also work in a casual setting. This is minimalism at its best! Sometimes, less is most definitely more!
