Balenciaga has collaborated with Sanrio on a Hello Kitty Capsule, which has just landed in stores! We first saw oversized bowler-shaped bags intended for men on the the men’s runway, but the folks at Balenciaga have come up with a collection for women, too, so all you Kitty lovers can rejoice!

The Balenciaga x Hello Kitty Capsule comes with her signature red bow in red leather, protruding ears, her face, which has been printed on, and shoelaces as her whiskers. The Capsule comprises 2 SLGs and 2 bags: the Shopping Phone Holder  (yep, ya know the one that looks like a leather paper bag? that’s the one), Mini Wallet (without the shoelace whiskers), XS Camera Bag, and the bowler-shaped Ville (small).

Colour-wise, all items in the Capsule are available in pink, white, or black leather; white, of course would be most “authentic” and closest to the original feline character, but black is rather nice too, with that pop of red and white facial features for contrast and juxtaposition. On the other hand, even though I’m a massive pink-holic, I have to say that it’s the least appealing … well, to me at least. Personally, I ain’t a Hello Kitty fan, so I wouldn’t be scrambling off to the boutique to get one, but I do know that there are a lot of Kitty fans out there who would be trying to get in on this collection. So, if that’s you, then hurry on up, because though not a limited edition, they come in extremely limited quantities.
