Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer 2012

For Spring/Summer 2012, Bottega Veneta takes the exotic route with its use of skins such as python, cobra, karung, ayers, ostrich and 6 different treatments of crocodile skin, as well as wrinkly lambskin.

Hobo with Grommet details
Loving the minimal weaving on this pebbled leather hobo

Not a fan of the colour but I love the metallic details that highlight the “weave” bits!

An array of the classic Knot clutches
The Cabat. Love the ombre one on the left!
Loving the contrast between actual weaving and embossed “weave”

As you might have noticed from the photos above, hand-held bags take centrestage this Spring/Summer 2012. Contrast of textures also seem to be one of the threads that weave the entire collection together, which also happened to be one of the underlying philosophies for Bottega’s Cruise 2012 collection
