Bottega Veneta Introduces 3 Key Bags for Early Fall 2014

Bottega Veneta has introduced 3 key bags for their Pre-Fall Collection, and the one thing they all have in common? Why, that’s the woven leaf-shaped detail on the bag onto which straps and handles are attached to.

Ducale RM 12,700

This top handle bag gets its name from the Palazzo Ducale in Italy. The uniqueness of this almost but not quite Boston shaped bag is its versatility – it transforms into a tote when you leave the bag unzipped! For a sportier look, just attach the nylon shoulder strap and the bag morphs from an office-friendly bag to a casual day bag.

Gardena RM 11,940

The messenger-styled “Gardena” is one of Bottega’s must haves of the season. Available in 8 different models 3 sizes (Small, medium and large), the small is good for running errands on the go, medium if you want something roomier, and the large is good for travelling. In fact, the large is suitable for the man in your life too (in “safer” colour option or a more vivid hue if your man is the fashion-forward sort) so you could both share the same bag! 😉

For those who one something more luxurious, you could opt for the Pony and waxy leather version (RM 13,110) with glossy ponyhair on the flap of the bag. And for an uberluxe vibe, go for the Karung version (RM 10,860), with Bottega’s signature zig-zag technique that join the skins together. This version is only avaiable in the miniature size.

Olimpia in Ayers RM 20,070

The Olimpia is named after the renowned Teatro Olimpico in Vincenza, Italy, designed by Andrea Palladio, an architect of prominence way back during the Renaissance. Inspired by the Nappa Glass bag from the SS14 collection, the Olimpia is available in 2 different sizes and in 3 different materials. And guess what? The Intreccio Tobu Ayers Livrea version requires a total of 18 precious skins to form the 190 “flying” Fettuccia rectangular leather  bits that are doubled in tone on tone Nappa leather. The entire weacing process alone takes 8 hours.
