Bulgari has tapped Alexander Wang to reimagine its iconic Serpenti range of leather goods. And, believe me when I tell you this, because you’d be seeing double , nay, multiple with his interpretations.

Though he has kept to the classic silhouette and style of the Serpenti Forever bags, Wang replaces the single enamelled serpent’s head with onyx eyes, with two, and sometimes, three golden snake heads with tantalising red eyes that are ready to hypnotise; each of which, hangs onto its dedicated flaps, known as the Duette and Tripeplette, respectively, Apart from the classic Serpenti shoulder bag style, he has also included one of the newer bag styles that Bulgari introduced earlier this year – the belt bag – as part of the collection. Also thrown into the mix are a new top handle bag style with drawstring sides (known as the two-in-one satchel, shown above), a Shopping Tote with a “paper bag” typed silhouette that’s available in 3 sizes. If you’re wondering about colourways, the entire Limited Edition Collection all of which are designed around a palette of black, white, mint green, and natural python.

But, of course, the show stopping piece would definitely have to be the boxy minaudière, modelled after Bulgari jewellery boxes that comes with a snake chain attachment, and triple tour wrist cuff, that pays homage to the Maison’s Serpenti fine jewellery bracelets, which, is the most expensive piece in this Limited Edition Collection – well, no surprises here.
