Acne Studios x Fjällräven Capsule Collection Bags
I’m sure we’re all familiar with Anello bags because how could we not, when everywhere we go we spot a few people with them. But, the label that they were inspired by (well from my observation), Swedish brand Fjällräven, has just collaborated with Acne Studios on a Capsule Collection. A Scandinavian collab through and through, the unisex capsule comprises outdoor gear like sleeping bags and hats, as well as outerwear such as down coats, parkas, convertible pants, and of course the bags, which is what Fjällräven is known for.
Acne Studios’s Creative Director Jonny Johansson has reinterpreted Fjällräven’s signature Kånken backpack in 3 ways: as a mini clutch, a convertible messenger bag, and the brand’s classic book bag. Available in deep orange, sunflower yellow, Tarpaulin A/F blue, olive, and a blue-orange camouflage print, the bags have both of the brands’ signature fonts on the logo patch.
The classic Kånken backpack is probably most familiar to us all, given that it’s the brand’s signature style. The collaboration has also resulted in several additional pockets on the sides, which aren’t on the regular Kånken backpacks that Fjällräven usually makes. The Messenger Bag, on the other hand, is essentially the Kånken backpack that has been turned horizontally on its side (hence morphing into a messenger), that comes with a crossbody strap. Finally, the Micro Scale bag is a mini backpack which can be carried as a clutch, or slung across the body, like Vuitton’s Palm Springs backpack.
The collection is now available via AcneStudios.com and the Fjällräven website.
