BAA x Repetto For Spring/Summer 15: Part One
For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you know that I mentioned something about a shoot and an upcoming collaboration, and I even sneaked in a few photos without mentioning that they were hints! Now here’s the reveal! Bag Addicts Anonymous has collaborated with Repetto for the second time, and for the second consecutive seasonal campaign in a row! This time, it’s for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection, and this post is all about their bags!
First up, the “Rose” tote, which was named after the founder, Rose Repetto. In a rather unusual shade of beige that has what I call a chameleonic effect – as you might have noticed that although it’s the same bag, the colour differs slightly when you compare the photo above and the one below, depending on how the leather catches the light. But, what I like most, is the resin chain with grosgrain ribbon interlaced into the strap because it’s a unique (functional) detail on an otherwise plain and regular bag. Oh, and why functional? Just collapse the handles down and convert it into a shoulder bag!

I also picked this clutch with a detachable wristlet strap because it seemed something that was unlike the usual Repetto design aesthetic. The crinkle-effect calfskin represents a more industrial feel, and reminded me of crushed aluminium foil. Or perhaps you could say it looks like something out of The Jetsons, but the one thing that surprised me, was that the rose gold logo plaque and hardware wasn’t at all too much on an already metallic surface. This is also where I probably should mention that Repetto only uses Rose Gold hardware, be they on shoes, bags, or any other small leather goods.
