Christmas Gift Ideas #2: Luxury Stationery

After kicking off our Christmas Gifting Edit last week with Home Decor, this second chapter features Luxury Stationery. As some of you who follow us on Instagram either via the official website account, or my personal account would already probably known that I’m a HUGE fan of stationery. In fact, I’m a massive stationery hoarder #truestory. So, as you can imagine, this chapter of our Christmas gifting ideas, is something that’s really close to my heart. Without further ado, here are some of my favourite luxury stationery picks for the Holiday season!

Smythson 2019 Grained Leather Soho Diary Planner

I know we’re now a generation of smart phone users who sync calendars with all our mobile devices for our most important appointments and such. Say what? Filofaxes? They’re a thing of the past! Well, true that. It may no longer be a Filofax, but but I much prefer writing things down in hard copy versions. Call me old-fashioned but I love using fancy coloured pens and decorating my planner with washi tape, pretty post-its, and stickers because they become much more personal. So, if your loved one/friend is anything like me, Smythson has some of the best luxury planners/agendas in textured and grained leather that you can find in the market. Here’s their classic Soho Diary in Blue.  If you’re not a fan of blue, they’re also available in Burgundy, black, and 2 other printed versions.

Dior Toile de Jouy Notebooks Cruise 2019

Next up, how gorgeous are these hardback-bound Dior notebooks in the latest Toile de Jouy print with wild animals from the Cruise 2019 capsule collection? Available in 2 sizes in either blue or red, I’m totally in love with the gilded gold foil edges. How luxe does this look? It’ll even look at home just sitting prettily on your coffee table!

Montblanc Meisterstuck Le Petite Prince Happy Holiday 2018 Set

Now, with all the agendas and notebooks we have here, we certainly need something to write with, don’t we? I’m totally obsessed with Montblanc‘s Le Petit Prince Happy Holiday Set which comes with an exclusive universal edition of the children’s classic (available in 4 languages), alongside the Meisterstück Le Petit Prince champagne gold-coated coffret. Made of deep blue resin, the colour was inspired by the dark blue sky. The cap also comes engraved with the fox face pattern (also known as the Prince’s friend and sidekick), and a sentence from the book, while the clip is embellished with a yellow-lacquered star. This piston fountain pen comes with a 18K champagne gold-coated nib with the Little Prince and the fox.  And if you’re concerned about ink refills, you’d be spoilt for choice because apart from classic “Mystery Black” or “midnight Blue”, it also comes in an array of other unique colours such as Royal Blue, Burgundy Red, Lavender Purple, Oyster Grey, Toffee Brown, Irish Green, and Corn Poppy Red. Perhaps it was because The Little Prince was one of my favourite classics I read growing up, but even if it wasn’t your favourite book, there’s no denying how pretty this entire set is, don’t you think? Available at Montblanc boutiques nationwide, for MYR 4,100.

Louis Vuitton Elizabeth Autour du Monde Pencilcase

Rounding up this quartet, is darling little illustrated Louis Vuitton Elizabeth pencil case, in Monogram Canvas, decorated with the special Holiday season print, Autour du Monde (translation: Around the World) for the Fall/Winter 18 season inspired by the festive window and store displays in London and Paris. With a fuchsia zipper panel and fuchsia leather on the other side, this makes for a Beary Merry Christmas! 😉

Stay tuned for our next chapter of the Christmas Edit: the SLGs Edition, coming up very soon!
