Prada Minimal Baroque Special Collection Sunglasses

5 years ago, Prada made waves with the Minimal Baroque sunglasses At first intended to be a seasonal piece, became such a cult item that it became a Prada icon. With its distinctive curve, curls, and swirls, the brand has updated and reinvented these motifs with 3 new styles:

First, the SPR07T, which sports hand-applied metal flourishes on the frame, and the double bridge, making it seem almost butterfly-like. It comes in 5 colourways: Black, Tortoise, Ivory, Red, and Spotted Tortoise.

The SPR 23N would probably be most familiar to all of us, given that this is a reinterpretation of the original design, but now, made more striking by the layering of nuanced tones with solid-coloured acetate.  It’s now available in Tortoise and Black with Ivory, or Red.

Finally, the SPR 08T is another reinterpretation of the original, but now, in glossy acetate and additional curves atop the frame. This more fanciful version is available in 4 colours: Black and Turquoise with Spotted Tortoise, Ivory, and a pop of red at the temples.

Now, watch them come to life in this animated video:

The new Minimal Baroque Special Collection is now available in Prada boutiques.
