BAA Countdown to X’mas: Luxury Gift Ideas For Him

You saw yesterday’s post on Christmas Gift Ideas For Her, and as promised, here are some stocking stuffers for your man, whether it may be your dad, partner, brother, and yes, even yourself!

Admittedly, the men’s edition of gift ideas I’ve curated this year may be for the sportier dudes out there, and I guess I may have been influenced ever so slightly by this whole athleisure movement that’s been a big part of 2017.

Without further ado, here are the items in this guide, beginning clockwise from the top left:

Even though I’m not a guy, I’ve always been a fan of Prada‘s robots ever since they first appeared as Tricks charms. And I was more than happy when they decided to expand their robot collection, so it’s a no brainer why I picked this Saffiano leather iPhone cover huh? What’s even better are those stud and zipper embellishments, for that added bit of edge! This would be the perfect gift if you’re not looking to burn a hole in your wallet 😉

Dior Homme‘s Teddy Bear keyfob-cum-charm from the Spring 2018 collection is super cute, not to mention something that’s totally unisex. This three-dimensional matte teddy bear has become quite an icon in its own right ever since its introduction then it served as Creative Director Kris Van Assche’s inspiration for the Autumn/Winter 2017 collection inspired by the electronic dance music scene and rave culture, which he named HARDIOR. Such a cutie, don’t you think?

Nowadays I find it so difficult to actually find money clips and Tiffany & Co. is probably one of the few brands that are still doing them. Here’s the latest “Tread Plate” money clip in 925 Sterling Silver, not just sports a tyre imprint motif, like its name suggests, but it evokes industrial vibes reminiscent of metal sheet “flooring” commonly found in some warehouses or factories.

If you have a bigger budget, then perhaps Bell & Ross‘s latest Vintage BR V1-92 Military timepiece would be something you may want to consider. Like most Bell & Ross watches, this 38.5mm watch is also aviation-inspired, and for this one, it’s all in the details: the photoluminscent triangle at 12 o’clock, which serves as a marker that used to help military pilots find their bearings, especially in the dark.

Bottega Veneta‘s bi-colour intrecciato briefcase from their Cruise 2018 collection is yet another of my picks, and is great if you like that pop of colour with that blue strip down the middle. A less serious, and sportier version of the classic briefcase, no doubt, because this looks more like a racing stripe motif, but nonetheless, still work- and travel- appropriate thanks to the detachable crossbody strap.

And, for the final item in my gift guide, it’s something that seems a little familiar to you, because the “Ace” sneaker has been all the rage since Gucci debuted this a over a year ago. They’re so popular that the sneakers, with their metallic red and green leather-embossed snakeskin backs have made them instantly recognisable, not to mention, highly coveted footwear that fashionistas and fashionmistas either already own, or have them on their wishlists (my fave is the one with the arrow and the safety pin).  This time around, I included the black version of the “Ace” with embroidered bee and star motifs with the web stripe – something less common, but no less desirable!

I hope this gift guide that I’ve compiled has helped you with your Christmas shopping! Do let me know which your faves are!
