Event Post: Official Opening of Tiffany & Co's New Duplex Store at Pavilion KL

Earlier this week, I headed over to Tiffany & Co.'s newly relocated store at Pavilion KL for Breakfast at Tiffany's (yes, really!) to celebrate their official opening. Located on Levels 2 and 3 of the Couture Pavilion, the new duplex boutique is now home to not just to fine jewellery, gemstones, and precious metals, but also watches, home and accessories.

Upon entry, look up, and the first thing you'd see is a crystal chandelier by London-based installation artist, Studio Rosso at the grand entrance, which is an interpretation of fixtures at Tiffany's Piazza Duomo (Milan) and Petrovska Street (Moscow) boutiques.

Look down, and you'd notice warm white lacquer panels and wood flooring of the Fashion Salon, with a faceted mirror as a nod to the Art Deco-inspired glamour of the 1930s.

Walk right to the back of the ground floor, and you'd be greeted by my absolute favourite part of the store: the spiral staircase, with its fluid, undulating curves inspired by the white bow that adorns all Tiffany's iconic blue boxes. I've already loved the staircase as it is, but after hearing the inspiration behind the design, it has certainly made it more special, don't you think? Oh, and having seen it up close, the plasterwork was certainly immaculate!

Take the stairs al the way up and you'd find yourself at the Fine Jewellery Salon, with white stone floors, cerused walnut paneling and neutral velvet walls, with dark green marble bands on the flooring, which is a homage to the Fifth Avenue Flaghip in New York.

The Bridal Salon is where you'd find engagement rings and wedding bands, and when it comes to weddings, it's all in the details isn't it? That's why this part of the store also has a feature wall made of hand-painted and gilded Tiffany Magnolia glass panels inspired by Louis Comfort Tiffany's original stained glass windows on exhibit at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The upper floor of the duplex boutique also has a Private Sales Salon nestled within the store, should you require privacy.

Thanks to illustrator Vivian Lee for her attention to detail, and capturing my dress so accurately!

Congratulations to Tiffany & Co. on your beautiful new store, and thank you for having me at the event!
