Event Post: Miu Miu's MiuLady Pop-Up Store Private Press Preview

On Monday, I had the privilege to attend the private press preview of  Miu Miu's MiuLady Pop-Up Store at Pavilion KL's Centre Court.  And guess what? Kuala Lumpur was the first to kick off the Asian leg of this travelling exhibit! What wonderful news this was, because as you know, it's usually cities like Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, or Shanghai that are the favoured cities for things like this!

As you make your way down the stairs covered in the lush pink and black Miu Miu carpet, you'd notice 3 gigantic MiuLady installations in baby blue, red, and baby pink, made from Madras leather, just like the actual bags, complete with the bejewelled buckle details, and even the the back of the bags sport the same details as the actual bags!

Head on inside the gigantic bags, and you'd have some dashing male models in Prada suits, taking you through the series of the short films and a Savoir-faire video featuring the Miu Lady Bag, where you can see how the bags are handcrafted from its initial stages, into the final product.

A vast array of MiuLady bags then surrounded these giant installations, including a special Ayers (i.e. watersnake) collection to celebrate the launch of this Pop-up.

My fave piece in the collection!

Since the use of crystals form a big part of Miu Miu's DNA, there were also Metelasse bags that are embellished with crystals on display.

And then off we went to Miu Miu's newly renovated duplex store with the Fall/Winter 2017 collections already on display,  and all decked up in blue (it was previously in yellow) which provided a more comfortable and luxurious environment to lounge around and shop in.

And then back to the Centre Court we went,  for the evening cocktails!

The MiuLady Pop-Up installation is now open to the public from now until September 10th, so make your way to Pavilion KL because it's most definitely worth it! Head on over to the dedicated MiuLady Pop-up Installation Site, to find out when it'll be hitting your city!
