#MFW: Prada Spring/Summer 2017 Runway and Bags Report

From afar, the majority of Prada’s Spring/Summer 2017 bags seemed like envelope-styled clutches because the models were either holding them against their chests, or in their palms. It’s only after taking a closer look at the bags up close, that you’d realise that they actually are shoulder bags with a thin chain shoulder strap which would be a perfect day-to-night bag. With the long, thick leather strip that slid through either a jewel-embellished oversized brooch-like embellishment, buckle fastener, or a thinner horizontal band, it sort of reminded me of the brand’s “trick” notebooks from the Fall/Winter season that are currently in stores (the ones that look like spell books). Available in several sizes, and an assortment of leathers, skins, and even floral printed Saffiano leather, which makes sense, because these 70s looking florals are a big part of the collection, especially where the jelly sandals and looks were concerned.

And then for a less dressy bag for day, there’s the colour-blocked Balletto bag with knotted-detail sides ala  Céline’s Twist bag.

I haven’t been loving Prada bags in a long time, but this season I actually feel as if I’m spoilt for choice and actually had a hard time picking my favourites. After staring at them for quite a long while, I FINALLY picked them out, and they’re the ones which I have made appear larger on this page (note: they only appear larger when viewed on the computer, not mobile).

Which are YOUR faves?
