Last month right here on the blog, I mentioned that Burberry will be moving their show to a new venue, Makers House, for the upcoming runway show tomorrow.
The collection, inspired by Virginia Woolf's literary masterpiece Orlando, will feature 83 men's and women's looks comprising over 250 pieces. As part of the "see-now-buy-now" trend that's sweeping the industry, this collection is instantly shoppable via Burberry's physical stores and e-commerce site, which ships to over 100 countries globally. Called the September collection instead of the Spring/Summer 2017 collection, it's said to be "reasonless, immediate, and personal".

Makers House will also be open for a week the day after the show, and will be transformed into a pop-up museum of sorts, and admission is FREE! During this period, visitors can view the runway display of the September collection, learn about Burberry's history through the informational sessions conducted by the Burberry Heritage archive team, shop products and designs by The New Craftsmen, watch the demonstrations in sculpting, sand casting, silk-screen printing, traditional acquire painting, stitching and embroidery, embellishment, calligraphy, miniature portraits, passementerie, and patchworking by the craftsmen, and also attend a series of short theatrical readings, particularly snippets from Woolf's novel Orlando. The programme is as follows (click on the image to enlarge):
