Whee! It's Tuesday Shoesday (okay I totally just made that up on the spot because it rhymes :P) ! Over the weekend I headed over to the malls, and finally saw Gucci's Blooms collection by Alessandro Michele
Although whether in coated jacquard, canvas or embossed leather, I'm not at all a fan of the GG motif or anything monogrammed for that matter, but it was love at first bloom! Sorry, I'm trying to be a little punny today, LOL. Also, I was rather surprised that even though I'm not a massive shoe freak, my favourite pieces from the Blooms collection were not the bags, but the shoes, particularly the Hi-top sneakers and ballerina flats that you see here. Okay, so I wasn't really into shoes before, but dare I say, shoes are growing on me, and uh oh I can see my money flying out the window!) !!
Apart from stating the obvious that it's called the Blooms collection because it's floral, the flowers are entirely made up of geraniums, considered by many to bring luck. Because there are hand-painted onto the GG Supreme coated jacquard. And if you're worried about the paint coming off, you shouldn't be because the Blooms are first painted onto the canvas, and then sealed with the coating on top, which also makes it water repellent to a certain extent too, except for the suede trims ;)
The Blooms collection is currently available at all Gucci boutiques nationwide, and also on the Official Website
