My Take On Bottega Veneta's Irish Madras Shoulder Bag

2 weeks ago, I was at Pavilion for a meeting with one of the luxury brands. After the meeting, I decided to walk around the mall, and there she was, this beauty off the Bottega Veneta runway, sitting  in the window of the BV store, which you've already seen if you follow me on Instagram because I uploaded it there and then. The green was so vibrant, providing the perfect backdrop to the navy intrecciato detail closure, the contrast between so many different textures - the Ayers borders and strap detail, the weave, and the embroidered pattern on the madras goatskin. Saying (or rather, typing) that was certainly a mouthful, and from the description I just made, it definitely sounds like there is a lot going on. And then you look at the piece and wonder, just how Bottega Veneta's Creative Director Tomas Maier could make so many different things work as a whole. Oh, but it didn't "just work", because the result is stunning - and I don't take nor use this word lightly at all when describing a bag. I left the store with a heavy heart, because it really was too pretty to put down, not to mention there was just 1 piece available in Malaysia. And, at RM12,050 (I was pleasantly surprised because I thought it'd have been much more expensive!), it really is a fair price, especially since it's a runway piece.

If this isn't your colour, it's also available in these 2 other colours on the Official Website, and the one on the right is available in Singapore.
