Jaeger Le-Coultre has recently released its "Open a Whole New World" campaign, which sets in motion a journey of discovery of the finer details of the art of watchmaking. For this campaign, the brand has selected 2 men and one woman as ambassadors: Eduardo Novillo Astrada, Dr. John Craig Venter, and Carmen Chaplin.
Polo player Eduardo Novillo Astrada, having been previously signed on as brand ambassador for the Reverso, is no stranger to the brand. In fact, the iconic Reverso watch is very much tied to polo due to its ability to flip over so that the face of the watch is protected during the polo match.
The second male chosen for this campaign is American biologist Dr. John Craig Venter, who, in 2007, announce the creation of a synthetic chromosome in the laboratory. In 2010, he and his team created the first cell with a synthetic genome. Such intricacies and complications can only be matched with JLC's Atmos clock.
The lady of the hour (no pun intended) in this campaign is none other than actress, screenwriter and producer, Carmen Chaplin, granddaughter to the legendary Charlie Chaplin. She is the face of the Rendez-Vous line by JLC.
Now, here are the campaign and Making-of videos photographed by American photographer Kurt Iswarienko, known for his artful use of lighting techniques in his photography.
