Last Thursday, I popped over to the Tory Burch Spring/Summer 15 press day for a preview of the upcoming collection.
While waiting for the event to begin, I caught up with some friends from the media, and at the same time, browsed the new collection, which was displayed at the shoe salon section of the store. I later learnt that the SS15 collection was inspired by ceramic (think porcelain China) details and art pieces by Francois Gilot.

The "print-within-a-print" (i.e. hidden details) were also a big part of the Spring/Summer 15 collection (see image below and first image above).

Texture and monochromatic separates were also one of the key themes this season:
Once everyone had arrived, we sat down on the sofa, and the presentation began.
SS15 is also about the redefinition of the white shirt
Don't be fooled, it's not really knit, but trompe l'oeil at its best because it's actually a print that had been screen-printed onto the material.
These slingback with resin and wood details! MAJOR LOVE!
This very dress in the print of the season was worn by American actress Jaime King
Sequin and beaded details on this tweed coat! LOVE!
And now, for the bags of the season:
Tote left, and the clutch that it comes with it on the right.
First up, the 2-in-1 tote that comes with a clutch...
Nylon backpack in the print of the season, with top handles.
The leather bucket bag, which is classified as a "Tory Love" item. And once an item is deemed as such, the designer, Tory Burch herself would be seen wearing/carrying it!
And saving the best for last, my favourites from the collection! I'm told that we'd be getting the same wooden clutches but in lime and pink instead of this blue-grey-white combo, which makes it even prettier! I certainly can't wait! They'd also be arriving hopefully in mid-Feb, just in time for Chinese New Year? Whee!
Thanks to the Tory Burch team for the invitation!
