Event Post: Pavilion Pitstop #Stylestory Featuring Diane von Furstenberg, Repetto and Karen Millen

As always, the Formula One season brings sport, music and fashion together. To kick off The Kuala Lumpur leg, Pavilion KL always has their annual F1 Grand Prix fete at the mall’s centre court. And this year’s theme? Pavilion Pitstop #stylestory. The five-day event began on the Thursday (March 27th) before race weekend, with an invitation-only gala featuring Diane Von Furstenberg, Repetto, and Karen Millen.

The stage and seating arrangements for the night

The stage

After a welcome speech, with Bernie Chan as the emcee, the event began with a ballet performance – quite befitting as this was right before Repetto’s (which began as a pointe shoes brand) runway show.

The Repetto runway show followed (and apart from focusing solely on shoes, they have expanded into a leather goods collection too!)

My fave pair from Repetto’s SS14 collection

Malaysian songstress Atilia Haron then graced the stage, dressed in a bodycon dress by Karen Millen

And right after that, the Karen Millen runway presentation

Atilia was welcomed back onto the stage to serenade us once more, but this time, with her mum, an accomplished singer, in tow for a super energetic performance.

And then, the highlight of the night : the Diane von Furstenberg Spring/Summer 2014 catwalk show featuring the snapshots of my favourite looks.

Sorry for the blurry shot, but I HAD to put this up because I LOVE LOVE LOVE this look!

Notice the giraffe silhouettes?

And the customary final walkthrough at the end (I was surprised though, that Repetto and Karen Millen didn’t have this.)

And the moment everyone was waiting for… the lucky draw! Prizes were Repetto shopping vouchers worth RM1,000,  Two VIP tickets worth RM600 each to the Jersey Boys musical, vouchers for spa and pampering services, and a Karen Millen purse (which I won!) Quite ecstatic despite winning one of the smaller prizes because, regardless of whether it’s a lucky draw or not, I never win anything!!

Getting ready to announce the winners for the lucky draw. On stage: models at the back, with Bernie Chan as emcee, Lydia Tsang (Asia-Pacific Regional Marketing Manager of DVF), Ms Joyce of Pavilion KL, and the manager for Repetto)

And I hardly ever do this, but here’s my #ootn (outfit of the night):
Eiffel Tower graphic printed dress: H&M
Headband : Matte Ice Ice Baby in Fuchsia by Sereni and Shentel
Shoes: Pedder Red
Glitter Clutch: Kate Spade (courtesy of Globalluxe – Kate Spade’s Asia-Pacific Regional team from Hong Kong)

Special thanks  to Globalluxe Hong Kong and the DVF Asia-Pacific Regional team for inviting me to the event!
