Newsflash: First Look at Saint Laurent's Spring/Summer 2013 BAGS!

After seeing Slimane's debut Saint Laurent handbag for Gwyneth Paltrow I was waiting in anticipation to see what he'd come up with for SS13. And last week, I managed to catch a glimpse of Hedi Slimane's new Saint Laurent bags for Spring/Summer 2013 via Instagram, so I thought I'd share it with all of you!!

The Verdict: Although I am not in any way at all happy about the whole rebranding of YSL into Saint Laurent, I must say that I don't dislike any of the SS13 bags that Slimane has designed. Well, of course I prefer Stefano Pilati's bags for YSL much better because they're more ME, but then again, I'm biased like that, lol.

Just like the rebranding of the logo, Slimane keeps with the minimalist approach even in terms of the SS13 handbag designs and construction. The bags are slightly more grown-up, and much more Lady Chic. I personally wouldn't be carrying these bags, but I'm sure these will be a hit with fans of the Celine Box bag.

One more thing though, remember back then when Slimane had just changed the logo? The YSL logo was supposed to be kept on the bags and the beauty and fragrance lines, but I really don't see any YSL or even "Yves Saint Laurent" written on the bags. What I DO see on all of them though, are "Saint Laurent". Hm.. someone's not keeping his promises, eh? It's time to get that Belle De Jour clutch right NOW just for owning a piece of the logo before it's phased out.
