Gucci’s Upcoming Artisan Corner Event to Commemorate the Re-Opening of Gucci KLCC
The Gucci Artisan Corner event will be held on 7th – 9th September 2011 to celebrate the Re-Opening (and newly re-located store — Chanel’s old premise before moving to Lot C) at KLCC.
For the first time ever in KL, you can watch Gucci’s Florentine artisans working meticulously on some items from the Gucci leather goods collection (yes, this means handbags! ;D). And get this: Malaysia is one of the first stops for the Artisan Corner tour 2011!!
For this Artisan event, only 11 handbags are up for grabs, and if you would like to purchase an Artisan Corner exclusive handbag, you can watch as they work on your bag in front of your very eyes! If you aren’t thinking of getting one, you can still watch them at work hand-stitching handles, assembling the bamboo handles, preparing leather strips for woven stitching and hand embossing of the owner’s initials onto the bag (whether inside or outside, it’s entirely up to the owner!) The artisans WILL finish the bags during the 3-day event so it’s a bespoke piece minus the few-months long wait!
The New Bamboo (Medium size) will be available in 2 Exclusive Malaysia-Only colours: Deep Dark Red and Dark Teal in Saddle soft luxe leather at RM 11,920 each.
That aside, it’s also available in Lake Blue calf leather for RM 8,080, and the Diamante Soft Brown (shown above in pic) at RM 8,450.
The New Jackie Bags will be available in Gingerbread (pictured right), Dark Teal (pictured left), Black and Deep Dark Red in Saddle soft luxe leather at RM 6,920 each.
It is also available in 2 exotic skins: Malachite Green in Python at RM, 16,660, and Gingerbread in Ostrich at RM 19,010.Note that both the exotic skin versions have already been sold. Their owners will be witnessing the finishing touches with their very eyes during the event.
Lastly, the Stirrup Bag, the latest shape for Fall/Winter 2011, will be available in Gingerbread in saddle soft luxe leather (no exotic skins!) for RM 8,930. Although in soft leather, rest assured that the structured shape will be maintained despite the supple leather, so don’t fret!
Cocktail event on 7th September is strictly by invitation-only. On 8th & 9th of September, the Artisan Corner will be taking place from 12pm-8pm. For those of you who are going, see you on the 7th! ;D
