Newsflash: Chanel To Increase Prices Yet Again, + other news

  1. Chanel: After increasing its prices by 20% earlier this year, Maison Chanel is going to increase prices yet again, come February 2011. Personally, I think this is ridiculous, and that they're really taking advantage of their customers. In fact, this is downright exploitation, especially when their quality is deteriorating. With increased prices and lower quality goods, they're going to see their customers flocking over to Hermes instead. Chanel boycott anyone?


  2. Pierre Hardy - Gap Collaboration: Pierre Hardy booties for Gap will be delayed, and the shipment won't be hitting stores in the US until October 28th 2011.


  3. So we all know that Lanvin is collaborating with fast fashion giant H&M on an Autumn/Winter capsule collection this year. Expect lots of black dresses, with ruffle and drape details. They'll also be streaming the fashion show live on H&M's official website at 0800am CET (that's 8am Malaysian Time) on Tuesday, November 2nd 2010.   5. Moleskine lovers listen up! Moleskine and Marc by Marc Jacobs have collaborated for a special Limited Edition version to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Barney's Co-Op! Available only at Barneys



  6. Gucci, Fendi & Stella McCartney have jumped on the kiddie bandwagon -- they're the latest designer labels to launch a children's line as an addition to their collections. Read all about it in the New York Times



  7. Mulberry will be opening their second store in KL @ the Gardens. The store will be occupying the lot that was formally Ted Baker, located opposite Kate Spade. This store will be the 2nd of its kind that will boast a new garden-themed concept. Store opens in December this year.



  8. Louis Vuitton had also recently increased the prices on their monogram canvas bags by 9% a few days ago. This was due to the popularity of the monogram canvas range. Well, I guess the Chinese mainlanders and their obsession with monograms and logos are the reason for this.
