The Verdict: For his main line, Marc Jacobs went all out with exotics. For his more affordable Marc by Marc Jacobs line, utilitarianism seems to be the design inspiration for his F/W 2010 collection as all the bags seem as though they belong on the set of Brokeback Mountain. I’m really not feeling his vibes for both his collections, but more so for this one. Too rugged for my liking, plus the striped straps make the bag even more cheap instead of chic. Perhaps MJ really was going for the whole “standard supply” look as the plaque on most Marc by MJ bags have sported for the past 2 years. This collection is definitely function over fashion.
