Love It or Hate It!

Jimmy Choo is known for coming up with bags that are classy and sophisticated. So, you can imagine the horror I felt when I saw this Glazed Canvas Tote from the Cruise 2010 collection!

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this tote was that it just looks plain trashy and so unlike anything at all that the brand has ever come up with. Upon closer inspection, the bag spells identity crisis. There's just way too much prints going on, with the Union Jack and the American flag, the flames and the bling, the Studs and grommets; and the python -- all against a monochromatic newspaper-esque background. I know that it's meant to be a collage-printed tote, but really, my eyes just didn't know what to focus on with so much going on.

Ok, so the bag is reasonably priced for a Limited Edition Choo piece and it's for a charitable cause, with 25% of proceeds of these "Project PEP" bags going to the Simelela Rape Centre in South Africa. But really, who's gonna buy the tote if it looks like that, even if it's for a good and charitable cause? I think the Simelela Rape Centre has just been deprived of a significant amount of donations with this rather distasteful tote.

However, if you DO like it, you can Pre-Order it from Nordstrom
